I've received so many messages of people telling me they are in my same field and asking for help with the immigration process.
The thing is that with the new immigration process, we all know there are a certain number of careers they are looking for and nothing else (of course I'm just talking about the Federal program). In the IT field, the only area is IT Manager, I know is not fair that they are only looking for managers, but in general I think everyone is a little mad/sad about the choices the government made.
If you are an IT manager and have proven experience with that title, great! Just apply for the Federal Skilled Worker Program.
If you are not, the only chances are:
1) Finding a job with a company that is willing to sponsor you
2) Immigrate to Quebec if you know french
3) Find a Provincial program that is looking for IT people.
All of these options are your responsibilities, is your job, since no one will be able to find you a job that will sponsor you or will go looking for the provincial program that is perfect for you. Nothing we can do about it but wish you luck!
