Canada immigration system

To begin with, let's review the Canadian immigration system.

The immigration system is divided into two separate parts: Permanent Immigration and Temporary Visa Status.

The temporary visa status has three subsections: Visitor, Student and Work permit.

The permanent immigration class is also divided into three subsections: The Family Class, The Refugee Class and The Economic Class that is further divided into two programs: The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) - which deals with skilled workers and businesses, and the Federal Program - which deals with skilled workers, investors, entrepreneurs and self employed individuals.

Hello Everybody,

I currently live in USA but I am here illegally, I am originally from Mexico and I wanted to try to get a Work permit or a Permanent residency in Canada.

Anyone out there that might know or heard about something similar to my situation.

Thank you very much,

Regards,

hi andy,

seems like PNP and FD are the same. i applied for skilled worker catogory and hope to settle in victoris BC, but am not sure if it is PNP or FD. COHEN is handling the whole process for me. i intended to come with my family but decided to come first then they join me later. so which gives better prospects (am kenyan - an ICT Teacher, dont want to be a teacher in canada tho !) ?
